To facilitate the construction of the new wharf, the project included the demolition and disposal of 17 existing mooring dolphins. The new wharf is now equipped with 35-tons tee-head mooring bollards and V400H × 1000L rubber dock fenders. In addition, core rocks and armor rocks were placed for the construction of the retaining wall extending along the entire length of the wharf.
Construction, Rehabilitation & Improvement of Navotas Fish Port Complex Phase II, Package 1- Construction of 12-Meter Wide R.C. Wharf (Design & Build)
The project commenced in March 2022 and involved the design and construction of an approximately 826-linear-meter-long, 12-meter-wide reinforced concrete (RC) wharf for the berthing of 1900 DWT oil product tankers and 250 GT ocean going fishing vessels.
Ultimately, the project also includes the installation of 16 water supply hydrants, complete with a main water distribution line routed beneath the wharf’s reinforced concrete beams to support its operational and water supply requirements.
